Rams QB Nick Foles Doesn't Show For OTAs

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Los Angeles Rams quarterback Nick Foles hasn't participated in team activities since they drafted first overall pick Jared Goff, and Tuesday he was a no-show for the start of OTAs.

Goff most likely will be named the starter after the Rams traded a slew of picks in order to obtain the rights for the first overall pick, in which they drafted the team's "Franchise" quarterback. Now Foles is reported to be unhappy with his current situation, leading him to skip OTAs as a sign of protest according to ESPN's Jim Trotter.

Foles, who received a $6 million roster bonus in March, and has a guaranteed base salary of $1.75 million this season, cannot be fined for his absences due to the workouts being voluntary.

Last season, Foles was benched after playing in nine games, putting together a 4-5 record, 2,052 yards, seven touchdowns, ten interceptions, five fumbles, and a 69.0 QB rating.

At this point in the young 2016 season, Foles looks to be the Rams third string quarterback sitting behind both Case Keenum and Goff.
