Pursuit Ends In Watts, Suspects May Be Linked To Chino Hills Robberies

WATTS (CBSLA) — A high-speed pursuit that started because of a robbery in Chino Hills came to an end this morning in Watts.

Sheriff's deputies and Chino Hills police chased down and arrested two male suspects in a white Kia they say hit unsafe speeds on the 710 Freeway.

Investigators say the suspects are believed to have pulled off a string of robberies at Arco station in Cypress, Westminster, Chino Hills and possibly other locations.

The pursuit continued for more than 40 miles, including on surface streets, and finally came to an end on Firth Blvd. and 96th St., where three men jumped out of the vehicle.

One man was caught on the grounds of an elementary school. Another man was caught a few blocks away. The third suspect was not found.
