Production Starts On 'The Good Fight,' All Access Spinoff Of 'The Good Wife'

NEW YORK (CBSLA.com)  —  "The Good Fight," a spinoff of the long-running and acclaimed "The Good Wife," is now in production in New York City.

The new series is scheduled to begin on CBS All Access in February.

"Good Fight" is created by "Good Wife" co-creators Robert and Michelle King.

The series stars Christine Baranski, Cush Jumbo, Rose Leslie, Delroy Lindo, Sarah Steele, Paul Guilfoyle, Bernadette Peters and Erica Tazel. It will premiere in February 2017 with a special broadcast on the CBS. The show will then move exclusively to All Access.

"The Good Fight" picks up one year after the events of the final broadcast episode of "The Good Wife."

In the new show, an enormous financial scam has destroyed the reputation of a young lawyer, Maia, while simultaneously wiping out her mentor Diane Lockhart's savings. Forced out of Lockhart & Lee, they join Lucca Quinn at one of Chicago's top law firms.
