Pregnant Woman In Critical Condition After Being Shot Multiple Times In San Bernardino; Suspect At Large

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) —  A pregnant woman was critically wounded after being shot multiple times in San Bernardino Sunday evening, according to authorities.

The unborn baby's condition was unclear.

Officials said about 10:20 p.m., a man and woman were arguing inside a car located  at the 1200 block of North F. Street.

The man shot the woman and fled on foot.

The unidentified woman was rushed to a nearby hospital and is listed in critical condition, but stable. It was not revealed at what stage her pregnancy was in.

Police said the man -- about ten minutes later -- attempted to rob an Arco station at 704 West Baseline at gunpoint.

The suspect allegedly stole a black Jeep Cherokee. Officers are continuing to search for the suspect and the victim of the carjacking who reportedly fled on foot.
