Powerball Ticket Worth $960K Sold In Orange County

CYPRESS (CBSLA.com)  —  Someone in Orange County woke up this morning with more green in his or her pocket.

A Powerball ticket worth $960,667 was sold in Cypress, according to authorities.

The ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven at 4501 E. Lincoln Avenue.

The 5/6 ticket had all the winning numbers save for the Powerball number.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday were 13, 16, 33, 35 and 51. The Cypress ticket missed the Powerball of 28 or the ticket holder would have walked away with the $50 million jackpot.

With no 6/6 tickets being sold, the jackpot for Wednesday's draw climbs to an estimated $60 million.

Powerball is played in 43 states, Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Powerball starts at $40 million and rises every time there is no jackpot winner. The record jackpot reached $590 million in May 2013.
