Popular 2015 Halloween Costumes Follow Box-Office Trends

BURBANK (CBSLA.com) — With so many options to choose from, picking a Halloween costume can be scary.

So CBS2's Kristine Lazar went to a Burbank costume shop to see what's hot.

She found that this year's most popular costume is a new one -- Harley Quinn -- the Joker's significant other in forthcoming Batman movie "Suicide Squad."

Sales of the second most popular costume, any character from "Star Wars," are also no doubt being helped by excitement over the next installment in that movie series.

The list of the top five Halloween costumes, according to Google, are:
