Police Warn Wildomar Church Parishioners Of Possible ID Theft After Donations Reported Stolen

WILDOMAR (CBSLA.com) — The Wildomar Police Department is asking parishioners of a local church to check their bank accounts for signs of identity theft after donations were reported stolen.

Police say an employee of Saint Francis of Rome Church on April 15 discovered a theft of personal check and cash donations from the previous week.

Authorities ask that parishioners who donated via personal check to audit their accounts and to contact Investigator Cornett at 951-245-3357 if a check was cashed during this time or if anything is known about the theft.

It was unclear at press time how much was stolen.
