Police: Suspects Rammed Man With His Own Vehicle Following Road Rage Incident

HEMET (CBSLA.com)  —  Police in Hemet say two suspects rammed a man with his own vehicle following a road rage incident.

The incident occurred on Friday just before 7 a.m., police said.

Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of S. Gilbert following the report of a man laying in the road injured.

Upon arrival, they found a 53-year-old white male in the street unable to move. His injuries were consistent with someone who had been hit by a vehicle.

The unidentified victim was treated at the scene and then transported to a hospital. His injuries are considered non-life threatening.

Investigators trying to piece together what happened, discovered video of the incident. They said the video shows two white or light-skinned Latinos having a verbal altercation with the victim. One of the men then jumps into the victim's car, possibly after a road rage incident, and then drove the vehicle at the suspect intentionally trying to hit him at a high rate of speed.

The victim's vehicle was abandoned at the scene. The suspects fled in a standard cab Ford truck, white in color. The vehicle is believed to have a broken rear cab window and broken driver's side window.

The Hemet Police Department is hoping the public can help them apprehend the two suspects.

Suspect #1 is between 18-25 years old, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. He has brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a black shirt and a black baseball cap.

Suspect #2 is also between the ages of 18-25, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 130 pounds. He has brown hair. When last seen he was wearing black jeans, a white short-sleeved shirt and white/black baseball cap he wore backwards.
