Police Serve Search Warrant At San Bernardino Apartment Of Missing Woman

SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — Authorities continued to search for clues in the disappearance of a 22-year-old woman and served a search warrant at her San Bernardino apartment Wednesday evening.

As KCAL9's Rachel Kim reports, police also spent the day re-interviewing people, including the roommates of Sahray Astina Barber who was reported missing Monday.

"We're looking for obviously anything that might lead us to believe that there was a struggle. Is there any physical evidence as far as blood evidence or anything else?" Lt. Rich Lawheard of the San Bernardino Police Department said.

Barber, a graphics design student at The Art Institute, was last seen Monday around 6 a.m. leaving for work. Her laptop and other belongings were found in the bushes at her apartment complex.

As Kim reports, on Tuesday, an extensive search ensued and her parents said it was uncharacteristic of their daughter to disappear.

Thus far, police said they've found no evidence that she's been kidnapped.

"That's one thing that's really lacking here. We don't have anybody that heard any screaming. We don't have anybody that heard anything, really saw anything," the lieutenant said.

Meanwhile, police said Barber's boyfriend and roommates, who came to the station voluntarily, have been very cooperative.

Barber was reported missing by her roommates.

Anyone with more information as to Barber's whereabouts was asked to contact San Bernardino police.
