Police Seek Help Locating Man Accused In Inglewood Fatal Shooting

INGLEWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Officers sought the public's help Saturday with locating a suspect who shot and killed a man in Inglewood earlier this week.

According to the Inglewood Police Department, officers were sent to the area of Manchester Boulevard and Crenshaw Boulevard just after 8:30 p.m. Thursday for reports of gunshots several gunshots fired.

Once on scene, witnesses explained to officers that an unknown person was seen fleeing from the area.

Authorities explained a preliminary investigation revealed the victim ran across the street and collapsed on the sidewalk.

Officers found the victim, a man in his 20s, lying unresponsive on the sidewalk from an apparent gunshot wound.

He was transported to a hospital where he later died.

The victim's identity is being withheld pending family notification.
