Police Seek Armed Man Suspected Of Robbing Multiple Stores In OC

HUNTINGTON BEACH (CBSLA.com) — Police sought the public's help Thursday to locate a man who is suspected of robbing several stores at gunpoint within Orange County.

According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, a man entered a CVS store around 9:30 p.m. on April 2, located in the 10000 block of Adams Avenue.

A preliminary investigation revealed the suspect robbed the cashier at gunpoint before he fled from the scene.

Around 11:30 p.m. on July 7, the same suspect entered a Ralph's grocery store located in the same neighborhood.

Police said the suspect once again displayed a handgun an demanded cash from the store employee.

Detectives described the suspect as a Caucasian man who is between the ages of 35 and 45-years-old, stands 6-feet-tall and weighs no more than 200 pounds.

Police said the suspect has a dark, thin beard. He has been seen clean shaven during some of the robberies.

Authorities believe the suspect has been involved in several robberies that took place in Huntington Beach, Fountain Valley, Westminster, Garden Grove and Costa Mesa.

The man has been known to target stores including CVS, Walgreen's, Rite-Aid, Albertson's, Ralph's and Von's, police said.
