NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — Campus police released sketches Saturday of two men and a woman suspected in a Friday carjacking at Cal State Northridge.
According to campus police, the trio approached the alleged victim in a campus parking lot south of Lassen Street at about 11:35 p.m.
Police said one of the suspects began to converse with the alleged victim, then demanded the keys to the person's vehicle while pointing a semiautomatic handgun. The trio of suspects, all described as being in their late teens or early 20s, then entered the vehicle and left the scene. The vehicle was found a short time later in a nearby neighborhood.
The first suspect is described as a slender 5-foot-9 African-American man who was last seen wearing blue jeans; a dark, hooded sweater; and a blue, flat-brimmed hat, and was carrying a handgun.
The second suspect is described as a slender 6-foot African-American man with a mustache. He was wearing dark shorts, a red T-shirt and an unzipped, gray, hooded sweater, police said.
The third suspect is described as a short, stocky African-American female with long braids, who was wearing a jacket and a yellow-striped shirt, and possibly gray sweats.
