Police Arrest U-Haul Truck Driver In Anaheim After Pursuit

ANAHEIM (CBSLA.com) — A man was in custody Tuesday evening after police ended the pursuit of a U-Haul truck in Anaheim.

Newport Beach police were pursuing the truck, which has Arizona plates and was wanted for speeding and evading police.

The truck turned sharply into a parking lot at Ball Road and Magnolia Avenue about 7:25 p.m., at which point police successfully executed a maneuver to spin the truck.

Cruisers then surrounded the truck, at which point the driver was taken into custody without further incident.

Police opened the back of the U-Haul, and while no one else was in the vehicle, they reportedly may have discovered a motorcycle in the back.
