WHITTIER (CBSLA.com) — A woman and a man were taken into custody in Whittier Friday after deputies began pursuing a U-Haul truck and the suspects took off on foot.

At one point, deputies began following a U-Haul truck.

The driver sped away and officers briefly lost track of the vehicle.

At one point, the truck stopped and a man and woman exited and began running.

The woman was arrested nearby.

Soon after, a resident called 911 to report a suspicious-looking man in her backyard.
