Police Conclude Investigation Of Suspicious Package On Hollywood Boulevard

HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — Police have determined there was no threat following a report of a suspicious package placed along Hollywood Boulevard Wednesday.

Authorities told SKY2's Stu Mundel someone called in a suspicious package in the 7000 block of Hollywood Boulevard, near the corner of Orange Street across the street from the Dolby Theater, at approximately 4 p.m.

Eastbound traffic along Hollywood Boulevard was shut down as a precaution while LAPD's Hollywood Division investigated the contents of the package.

City News Service reports the item in question was a paper box full of cardboard.
