Downey police close shopping center parking lot after apparent shooting

Police rushed to the Downey Landing shopping center after an apparent shooting Tuesday afternoon.

The Downey Police Department reported no injuries and advised people to stay away from the area.

Officers detained a man immediately following the shooting and recovered a firearm at the location.
