San Bernardino Police deliver donated turkey dinners

The San Bernardino Police Department helped get turkey dinners to families this Thanksgiving. 

Spirit of Texas BBQ paid it forward. They received a turkey donation from Stater Brothers, and in return, cooked them and gave them to the San Bernardino Police Dept. to hand out to families.

Police said they were happy to deliver the goods and help out. 

"We're going to be giving away a turkey dinner that was donated by The Spirit of Texas to a family here that has nine children in the household, so we are really excited for the opportunity, and we're going to surprise them," said San Bernardino Police Lt. Jennifer Kornell.   

Spirit of Texas BBQ is closed to the public today, but will open for first responders between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
