Perry, Kesler Lead Ducks Over Sharks In OT

ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Corey Perry set up the tying goal by Ryan Kesler with 53 seconds left in regulation and scored the game-winner at 3:37 of overtime to lead the Anaheim Ducks to a 2-1 victory over the San Jose Sharks on Saturday night in the teams' preseason finale.

Frederik Andersen made 25 saves for the Ducks (3-3-1), who start a season-opening four-game road trip Thursday against Pittsburgh.

Tomas Hertl scored for San Jose (3-2-1) and Antti Niemi made 27 saves -- including 13 in the third period. The Sharks open up their season Wednesday night at the defending Stanley Cup champion Los Angeles Kings.

Just 11 seconds after the Ducks killed off a tripping penalty by Ben Lovejoy in OT, San Jose's Matt Nieto was sent off for hooking and Perry took advantage by beating Niemi high to the glove side with a slap shot from the top of the left circle.
