2 people shot after argument in alley in West Adams neighborhood

Two people were shot after an altercation in an alley in the West Adams neighborhood Wednesday night.

The Los Angeles Police Department said the shooting took place around 10 p.m. near Jefferson Boulevard and Somerset Drive.

A man and a woman were sitting inside a vehicle in an alley when they got into an argument. Police said the man took out a gun and pointed it at the woman.

A brief struggle took place when the gun discharged striking the woman. It discharged again, this time striking the man.

Both individuals were transported to the hospital in stable condition.
