Paul Walker's Father Files Claim Against Roger Rodas' Estate Over Exotic Cars
SYLMAR (CBSLA.com) — The father of late actor Paul Walker has filed a claim over exotic cars against the estate of Roger Rodas, the driver who was also killed in the fiery car crash in 2013.
The lawsuit, filed by Paul Walker Sr., claims: "The estate of Roger W. Rodas and/or Autobahn Exotics Incorporated … is in possession of numerous automobiles and other motor vehicles that are either wholly or partially owned by the creditor (Paul Walker's Estate)."
Walker's father "seeks the return of the vehicles at issue and/or creditor's proportionate share of any sales proceeds derived from the sale of such vehicles."
The suit claims the cars are worth at least $1.8 million.
No one answered at Paul Walker Sr.'s Sylmar home Tuesday and calls to attorneys for both sides placed by CBS2 have not been returned.
But in paperwork filed in response to the lawsuit Dec. 23, Rodas' wife rejected the claim.
At the time of his death, Rodas was the chief executive officer of a high-end performance car shop in Valencia owned by the "Fast & Furious" star.
Walker and Rodas were killed when the two slammed into a concrete lamp post in an industrial section of Valencia while reportedly traveling between 80 and 90 mph in Walker's Porsche Carrera GT, according to Los Angeles County sheriff's investigators.
