Paul Pierce Reportedly To Return to Clippers For 19th Season
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — NBA veteran Paul Pierce has decided to return to the Los Angeles Clippers for his 19th season in the league, according to reports Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Times' Brad Turner says Pierce is expected to stay with L.A. for an estimated $3.5 million in 2016-17.
Pierce who is under contract through the 2017-18 season, was contemplating retirement after recording career lows in most statistical categories during the 2015-16 season.
He set career lows in minutes (18.1), shots (5.8), field goal percentage (36.3 percent), 3-pointers made (75), rebounds (2.7), assists (1.0), and points (6.1).
