Southwest Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing At LAX

LOS ANGELES INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (CBSLA.com) —A Southwest Airlines flight made an emergency landing Tuesday night at LAX over concerns a fire had erupted in the cargo hold.

Passengers aboard flight 737 were escorted off the plane after a heat sensor activated in the cargo hold.

The Los Angeles Fire Department inspected the aircraft on the ground to determine if there was actually a fire, but found no signs of a blaze.

Passengers were allowed back on the plane to collect their things.
