Crews Extinguish Pallet Yard Fire In Lancaster; 2 Firefighters Injured

LANCASTER (CBSLA.com) — Firefighters Tuesday extinguished a blaze that erupted in a pallet yard in Lancaster.

The fire broke out shortly after 2 a.m. in the 600 block of W. Avenue L, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Upon their arrival, crews located a large amount of pallets burning across from Kaiser Hospital.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze in just over an hour.

Two firefighters sustained minor injuries while battling the fire.

No other structures were threatened by the flames.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
