Online Shoppers Tweet Their Disappointment In Amazon's Prime Day
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The biggest seller of Amazon's inaugural Prime Day sale was apparently disappointment.
Online shoppers all over the world tweeted their anger and frustration at the deals celebrating Amazon's 20th anniversary.
Almost bought a pair of shorts. Until I realized they were marked down $.28. Twenty. Eight. Cents. #PrimeDay

Getting waitlisted over toilet paper is pretty much everything I need to know about #PrimeDay.

I see people complaining about #PrimeDay but I don't know where else they think they're going to get on a wait list to buy moist towelettes.

#PrimeDay offering up all kinds of great deals on nothing anyone would ever want

50-pack of CD-Rs on sale for #PrimeDay. Ya know, in case the year 2002 recurs.

Other shoppers were more frustrated at the site's technical problems, describing wait lists, items selling out immediately and buttons that didn't even work.
#PrimeDay is a fail. 1 item that I actually need & all I got was a broken waitlist button that kept resetting. Also really hard to navigate.

Still others pointed out that the sale was not scheduled appropriately.
I'm sure it has been said countless times. But seriously? Prime Day? On the 15th? #fail

My disappointment for #PrimeDay came early when I was mad that the 15th isn't even a prime number. #DoomedToFail

But Prime Day wasn't a complete bust – the consensus over the disastrous sale day did inspire scores of jokes and the hashtag #PrimeDayFail.
#PrimeDay is killing it. Do you have any idea how long I've been waiting for Strawberry Pop Tarts to go on sale? pic.twitter.com/m7P6fRzyJi
