Officials Offer $20K Reward For Suspect Wanted In Norwalk Double Murder

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Homicide detectives sought the public's help Wednesday to identify those who are responsible for the murder of a father and son in Norwalk.

At 10 a.m., the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors and the City of Norwalk offered a combined $20,000 reward for information about this case.

On July 14, Walter Vicente, 49, and his 24-year-old son, Andrew, were discovered brutally murdered in their home, located in the 12300 block of Gettysburg Drive, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

A preliminary investigation revealed both men were shot to death. No weapons were recovered at the scene.

Authorities said Walter -- who was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1990 to 1994 -- owned his own plumbing company where Andrew also worked. Andrew was planning on expanding the business.

They both loved to play the guitar and sing.

At this time, no suspect information is available. The investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information regarding this case has been urged to call the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department at (323) 890-5500.
