Officials ID Downey Man Killed After Minivan Rear-Ends Truck
DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — Officials have identified an 18-year-old man killed when the minivan he was riding in rear-ended a large truck in Downey.
Isaac Marroquin, of Downey, was killed late Friday night, according to the LAPD.
Police say the 19-year-old driver of the Chevy Astro van crossed lanes and slammed into the back of the truck, which was waiting in a left turn late at Lakewood Boulevard and Florence Avenue.
The driver of the van and three passengers were taken to the hospital. All are expected to survive.
The truck driver was not seriously hurt.
