Officers Search For Pursuit Suspect, Strong Police Presence At Hollywood And Highland

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA) — Early Thursday evening, LAPD units were involved in a pursuit of a possible stolen vehicle. The high speed pursuit came to an end at a complex at Hollywood Blvd. and Highland Ave.

The incident was originally only the following of a cold plated vehicle, but turned into a pursuit when the speeding suspect vehicle drove into opposing traffic and struck at least one police car.

One suspect has already been arrested. Police are still looking for the remaining suspect who fled the vehicle by foot after the pursuit was over.

A perimeter was quickly put up but the outstanding suspect was unfortunately able to escape the perimeter, according to LAPD.

The subways are still open and running and buses are still operating normally. K-9's were brought in to try and find the final suspect, possibly hiding in the mall.

The outstanding suspect is said to be a black male with dark colored pants, grey hoodie.
