Stolen pickup truck leads officers on cross-county pursuit

A stolen pickup truck led the California Highway Patrol on a cross-county pursuit Friday night. 

The pursuit began near Whittier, with the truck slowly eluding police on city streets. It continued at around the speed limit until the driver entered the I-605 Freeway. 

Then, the suspect cut through multiple lanes of traffic and sped up to over 80 mph. The pursuit continued from Los Angeles County to Orange County through the I-5 Freeway.
