New Starbucks Rewards To Give Stars Based On What You Buy, Not How Often You Visit
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Starbucks is unveiling a new rewards program Tuesday, one which will give members more stars based on what they buy as opposed to how often they visit.
Members will now earn two stars for every dollar spent, instead of one star per visit.
Freebies will now be 125 stars, as opposed to 12 stars, which means customers will have to spend about $63 before getting a free drink.
What won't change, though, are free birthday drinks and refills on brewed coffee and tea.
News of the change has many taking to Twitter:
Today's the last day of the old school Starbucks rewards program omg this transition won't be easy send prayers.
