Nature Made Recalls Various Vitamins Over Possible Health Risk

NORTHRIDGE (CBSLA.com) — A company has announced the recall of various types of vitamin products by Nature Made over a possible health risk.

Pharmavite, LLC said Tuesday that it was recalling the products out of an abundance of caution due to possible salmonella and staphylococcus aureus contamination.

The recalled products were distributed nationwide to various retailers and include the following: Nature Made adult gummies multi; adult gummies multi with Omega-3; adult gummies multi for her plus Omega-3s; and super B complex with C and folic acid tablets.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration said the most common symptoms of the presence of salmonella in healthy individuals include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Symptoms related to the presence of the staph include nausea, vomiting, and abdominal cramping, among others.
