Mystery Man Known As "#HotDebateGuy" Identity Revealed
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The biggest winner of Wednesday's Republican Debate may not have been on the stage.
One audience member who was sitting directly behind the CNN Moderator hosting the debate, caught the internet's eye and spiraled into social media stardom.
Known on social media websites as #HotDebateGuy, the man has been identified as Greg Caruso, a 24-year old USC graduate and son of billionaire real estate mogul Rick Caruso.
Rick Caruso is most notably known for creating the popular Los Angeles shopping center, "The Grove".
Twitter users flooded the internet to comment on the seemingly innocent bystander.

Can #hotdebateguy sit in the same place every debate this year?

Greg Caruso graduated from USC's film school just last year.
When asked if she was surprised about all the attention Caruso was receiving from just being at the debate, current USC film student Samantha Tisher wasn't that shocked at all.
"Because People love a hot guy," Tisher said as she chuckled.
The 24-year-old is currently working on a feature-length documentary about american masculinity, and is shrugging off all of the unexpected media attention.
He told CNN, "It's pretty hilarious. social media can focus on some guy at the debate instead of the debate."
Caruso did not offer a comment as to whether or not he was single.
