Motorcyclist hospitalized with serious injuries after crash in Topanga Canyon

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash with a car in Topanga Canyon on Saturday afternoon. 

The collision happened a little before 5:10 p.m. in the 4800 block of N. Topanga Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. 

Paramedics rushed the motorcyclist, who has not yet been identified, to a local hospital with serious injuries. 

SkyCal flew over the scene of the crash, where a white sedan with considerable damage to the driver side door could be seen hundreds of feet from an overturned motorcycle. 

It's unclear if the driver was injured or if any passengers were inside of the car at the time of the crash.
