CBS News Los Angeles

More than $150,000 worth of methamphetamine was seized during a traffic stop in Victorville last week, according to the California Highway Patrol.

It happened on Dec. 24 on US-395 near I-15, according to an Instagram post from CHP's Victorville Station.

Officers initiated the traffic stop after witnessing a driver "making an unsafe turning movement," the post said.

They "observed objective signs and symptoms of alcohol and drug intoxication and conducted a DUI investigation," which led to the driver's arrest, officers noted.

During a search of the vehicle, officers discovered 44 pounds of methamphetamine, which they said was worth more than $154,000 in street value.
