Metro Red Line Reopens After Report Of Suspicious Package Found In Pershing Square
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — The Metro Red Line in downtown Los Angeles was shut down for a few hours Friday morning after a suspicious package was reportedly found.
The item was reported to be seen around 5:40 a.m. under a staircase on the Red Line platform at Olive and 5th streets, sheriff's officials said.
The bomb squad was called to the scene to investigate.
The station was reopened and the Red Line resumed service at 8:45 a.m.
No further details were released.
