Metro Hosts Speed Dating Service On Red Line For Valentine's Day
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — Metro hosted a speed dating service on the Red Line for Valentine's Day.
KCAL9's Bobby Kaple reports that hundreds of people took part in event, which took place on all Red Line trains between Union Station and North Hollywood.
"It's an adventure. I mean, this is craziness, and I'm all for it," a woman said.
"I love the idea. I love the Metro," commuter Monica Cure said. "It's Valentine's Day, you don't have a Valentine, so who knows?"
Kaple reports the beauty of speed dating on a train is if a person doesn't find a match in one car, there's another one just across the tracks.
"I guess I'm gonna keep riding back and forth for a couple hours and see what happens," a woman said.
So, were any connections made? It could be too soon to tell.
"It's been a fun experience today," Anthony Hamilton said. "I had a good time meeting new people."
