Suspect arrested after stabbing man at Exposition Park near metro line

One man was arrested after allegedly stabbing another man in the back during a fight in the Exposition Park area, authorities said.

According to Los Angeles police, the stabbing happened on Wednesday around 11:05 p.m. near the Metro E Line platform on Western Avenue and Exposition Boulevard.

Witnesses say the two men were arguing on the train and it continued to escalate after they got off.

The Metro has been mired in a string of attacks on its rail lines, the most recent of which was in East Hollywood.
