Measles Outbreak Appears To Be Fading, State Health Officials Say

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — State health officials say the measles outbreak that started at Disneyland last December is now fading away.

According to the California Department of Public Health, only three new cases have been reported in the state since the last week of February, with the most recent reported in Ventura County.

The outbreak put a harsh spotlight on California's high number of unvaccinated children.

In all, 133 people have been infected by the measles outbreak in California.
