Marina del Rey Film Festival features local filmmakers, LA landscapes

The Marina del Rey Film Festival kicked off at the Cinemark 18 and XD Theater this week. The event features the work of dozens of filmmakers, with romantic comedies, short films, music videos, sci-fi flicks and more. 

Filming locations for many of the pieces took place all over Los Angeles, including Dodgers Stadium, Hermosa Beach, Rodeo Drive, the 405 Freeway, and Pasadena, to name a few. 

The Marina del Rey Film Festival was founded in 2012 by Jon Gursha and Peter Greene and has since featured hundreds of independent films. The event is from June 8 to 14.
