Man's Death In Studio City 7-Eleven Parking Lot A Possible Overdose
STUDIO CITY (CBSLA.com) — Police say a man died in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven Friday morning from a possible drug overdose.
The incident at the 7-Eleven at the intersection of Ventura Boulevard and Vineland Avenue was reported at 2:06 a.m., Los Angeles police Lt. Doug Humphrey said.
"A 36-year-old man collapsed in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven," Humphrey said. "He was with a friend at the time and that person called 911 for an ambulance but the man died at the scene."
Humphrey said there was no indication of foul play and the man may have died from a drug overdose.
"But it's a coroner case now and they will have to determine the cause of death," Humphrey said.
The victim's name was withheld pending family notification.
