Man, Wife Killed In Apparent Murder-Suicide In Stevenson Ranch
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — A man and woman killed in an apparent murder-suicide in the parking lot of a shopping center in Stevenson Ranch were married, investigators said Monday.
The shooting occurred just before 9 p.m. Sunday outside a FedEx store in the 24900 block of Pico Canyon Road, said Deputy Crystal Hernandez of the Sheriff's Information Bureau.
"Evidence at the location indicates the couple exited the FedEx store together," said Hernandez. "The husband shot his wife and then himself. The weapon was recovered at the scene."
Investigators have indicated the couple came to the business in separate cars, and the shooting happened after they left the business, according to KNX 1070's Pete Demetriou.
The circumstances preceding the incident were still under investigation, Hernandez said.
