Man Wanted In Sexual Assault Of Woman In Wheelchair At Fontana Metrolink Station

FONTANA (CBSLA.com) — Police searched Monday for a man who sexually assaulted a woman in a wheelchair at the Fontana Metrolink station.

A woman was sitting in her wheelchair at the station, 16777 Orange Way, waiting for her ride shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday when a man approached her and began to comment on her appearance, Fontana police officials said.

Police say the man grabbed a breast and squeezed it several times, then asked her if she wanted to have sex with him. When she refused, he pushed her wheelchair toward the restrooms against her will, but she was able to fight him off and called police.

He was described as a Hispanic man, 20-25, about 5-foot-6, last seen wearing black jeans, a white shirt, black hat and black Dickies jacket.

Police say surveillance video is not available at this time.

Anyone with information about this attack can call Fontana Police at (909) 356-TIPS (8477).
