Man Suspected Of Fatally Stabbing Grandmother In East LA Home Charged With Murder
LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A 23-year-old man suspected of fatally stabbing his grandmother with a knife was charged Wednesday with her murder.
According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Armando Sepulveda was charged with one count of murder, with the special allegation of personal use of a deadly weapon.
On Monday, deputies were sent to a home in the 100 block of North Gage Avenue in East LA to check on the welfare of a resident. Sepulveda reportedly lived with his grandmother, Anna Sepulveda, 59, at the residence.
Once on scene, deputies found her body in the kitchen with multiple stab wounds. Sepulveda was arrested in connection to the crime.
Neighbors said they heard fighting at the home that morning, and said the woman failed to show up to work at her daughter's Alhambra business.
Prosecutors asked Sepulveda's bail be set at $1.03 million.
