Man Struck, Killed By Car While Walking Near College Of The Canyons
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle in Santa Clarita, a sheriff's lieutenant said.
The accident happened Monday about 9:50 p.m. in the 17000 block of Sierra Highway near the College of the Canyons, Los Angeles County sheriff's Lt. Bryan Aguilera said.
The man who was struck was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, Aguilera said. The driver stopped at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The driver was not cited, according to Aguilera. There was no evidence to suggest drugs, alcohol, speed or distraction were a factor in the crash.
The victim's name was withheld pending notification of kin.
