Man Robbed At Gunpoint In Downey In Incident That's Caught On Tape

DOWNEY (CBSLA.com) — A man was robbed at gunpoint in Downey before being struck in the head with the weapon, authorities said.

Surveillance video captured the robbery, which unfolded just before 3 a.m. Sunday, in the 8200 block of Brunache Street, Downey police said in a statement.

The suspect was described as a Hispanic man in his mid to late 20s. He was seen wearing a light-colored shirt and dark-colored jeans.

Police said the victim described the suspect vehicle as a grey 2013-2015 Scion TC .

The incident remains under investigation.
