Man Hurt In Exposition Park Home Invasion Robbery

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A man was injured late Friday night after two men and a woman invaded his family's home in Exposition Park and stole cash, authorities said.

The incident took place around 10 p.m. Friday in the 3700 block of Cherrywood Avenue, according to Los Angeles police Sgt. Carlton Brown.

Brown told City News Service that the three suspects forced their way into the home and stole cash from the family. During the robbery the husband suffered cuts and abrasions, Brown added.

The injured man's wife and children were also home, but were not hurt during the robbery, Brown said.

The amount of cash taken by the suspects, who were still at large Saturday morning, was not immediately known, he added.

Brown described two of the suspects as black males in their mid-20s. The third suspect is a black female. There is no description of the getaway vehicle.

The LAPD asks anyone with information on the robbery to call the Southwest Division at 213-485-2582.
