Man found shot to death in Lynwood

An investigation is underway after a man was found shot to death in Lynwood early Saturday morning. 

The shooting happened at around 1 a.m., according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department. 

Deputies were dispatched to the 5100 block of E. Imperial Highway after learning of the incident and arrived to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. 

He was taken to a nearby hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics where he was later pronounced dead. 

There was no information provided on either a suspect or a motive in the shooting.
