Man dead after shooting in Santa Ana

A man was killed in a shooting in Santa Ana on Saturday and authorities are still searching for the gunman. 

It happened just before 9 p.m. in the 2000 block of S. Wood Street, according to the Santa Ana Police Department. 

Officers arrived to the scene and found the victim, an unidentified man, suffering from several gunshot wounds, they said. 

He was rushed to a nearby hospital by paramedics but later died. Investigators have not provided information on the victim's age or identity. 

They also have not released any details on a possible motive or suspect involved in the shooting.
