Standoff With Accused Felon Ends In San Bernardino
SAN BERNARDINO (CBSLA.com) — An accused felon surrendered Thursday after a standoff with police in San Bernardino.
The standoff began around 7 a.m. at a home near 17th Street and Massachusetts, Fontana police said.
Inland Valley SWAT was attempting to serve a high risk narcotics warrant for 20-year-old Jorge Alvarez, a known felon inside the residence, when the he refused to come out.
Just before 9 a.m., the suspect surrendered and several other people exited the residence.
Police also recovered several high powered weapons from inside the home.
About 10 nearby houses had been evacuated.
A woman and another man were also arrested on unspecified charges.
No further details were released.
