Man To Be Arraigned On Attempted Murder Charge In West Covina
WEST COVINA (CBSLA.com) — A 40-year-old will be arraigned Tuesday on charges related to a stabbing that took place during a fight in West Covina.
According to the West Covina Police Department, Daniel Luna, of La Puente, was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Monday.
Just before 1 a.m., officers were sent to the 500 block of Vincent Avenue to investigate the reported stabbing.
Upon their arrival, paramedics transported a victim to L.A. County-USC Medical Center for treatment of a stab wound to his chest. He was listed in critical condition. An update on the victim's status was not immediately available.
Luna is being held on $500,000 at the West Covina Jail. He is expected to appear in court at 8:30 a.m. in West Covina.
The motive for the fight remains under investigation.
