Lock Of John Lennon's Hair Sells At Auction For 35K

LOS ANGELES (CBSLA.com) — A lock of John Lennon's hair has sold for $35,000 at a Heritage Auctions event on Saturday.

The hair was allegedely cut as Lennon prepared for a role on a movie.

The four-inch lock was saved by the hairdresser after he gave Lennon a haircut before the famous musician started filming How I Won the War, a 1967 comedy.

Paul Fraser, a U.K. based memorabilia collector was the highest bidder, Heritage Actions reported.
